These extensions are designed to be woven into your hair using a technique similar to box braids. They require a gentle hand and weaving technique which may be best suited for individuals more experienced in handling Muka, braiding or weaving.

All items are made to order, so please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery. Each piece is handcrafted to the highest quality, using Harakeke grown and harvested sustainably from our own Whenua and Whare throughout Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Stimulating hair growth is beneficial, and you can do so by exfoliating your scalp with an exfoliator or gentle brushing. Take the opportunity to nurture your hair's well-being. Begin with a clarifying shampoo, followed by a nourishing mask. Allow the mask to rest and work its magic. This preparation ensures that your hair is strong and healthy enough to withstand the effects of heat styling and the addition of extensions, while also making maintenance easier.

  • Please be advised that upon purchase, this product is made from natural fibers, which differ from both human and synthetic hair. As a natural material, it is normal for shedding to occur, akin to the natural shedding of human hair. On average, individuals shed between 50 to 100 of their own hairs daily. Therefore, expect some slight shedding of both natural hair after removal of protective style and when handling the plant fibers upon gentle installation.

    - Harakeke Plant Hair extensions are currently handcrafted individually from start to finish to ensure the highest quality and longevity of product life for use.  Please keep in mind that because all adornments are handmade and individually unique, therefore no two plaits / weaving bundles will look the same. Slight variations in length, diameter or colour should be expected.
